The Beilstein-Institut is a Foundation established under civil law and located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The Beilstein-Institut is engaged in various activities ranging from the organization of scientific symposia to the Beilstein Open Access which provides resources that are freely available to all scientists worldwide. Innovative projects in research and education are also funded.

The Yeast Systems Biology Network proposes the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model system for the investigation of the metabolic dynamics of cellular systems. The Network serves the integration of the research activities in yeast systems biology.
Minimum Information for Biological and Biomedical Investigations is a project which aims at promoting extant projects that develop guidance for the reporting of aspects of biological and biomedical science.
